Cleethorpes Aikido Club
Cleethorpes Aikido Club was established in 1982 by Sensei Mike Jennings 2nd Dan So Hombu. Sensei Jennings has almost 30 years experience in Aikido and is a fully qualified and insured instructor.
Our club meets every Tuesday and Friday at the Cleethorpes Leisure Centre and we often travel together to various courses and seminars throughout the country.
We have a large and varied member base with a good male and female, young and old mix. We also have have a number of international students who share their experiences with us. Cleethorpes Aikido Club are a member of the United Kingdom Aikikai (UKA) a national organisation based in Birmingham recognised nationally and internationally by governing bodies. The UKA is also one of a small number of Aikido associations in Britain to be awarded formal recognition by the Hombu Dojo The international headquarters of Aikido.Our club is attached to the Te Shin Kai house of the UKA which is headed by Sensei Keith Hayward Shidon 6th Dan So Hombu
